Ex-Pres Graham Spanier [Penn St] charged
Ex-Penn State president charged in Sandusky case | National News - KCCI Home Graham Spanier has been charged with several counts in the child rape scandal at the university, including perjury, conspiracy, and endangering the welfare of children. Good to see those that helped in the cover-up be charged too.

I want to hit "like" on the OP, but I wish that I could add the clause that I'm "liking" that he's being held accountable, not what he did.
Wasn't the AD implicated as having knowledge, too? Will he be next? (ETA - I just remembered he was fired at the same time as Paterno and Spanier, so I would assume so.)

Wasn't the AD implicated as having knowledge, too? Will he be next? Article updated. They're facing the same charges now: Additional charges also were filed Thursday against two other former university officials -– former Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley and ex-Vice President Gary Schultz. The three men now face the same five charges. ∞ -

I wonder if Paterno would have also been charged, I have to assume so. His family has been quiet in their quest to prove his innocence lately.

I just hope they can find an unbiased jury. Pretty hard to not know anything about this case.

Re: Ex-Pres Graham Spanier [Penn St] charged
i put this in the other thread but I'm gonna put it here too... one of the articles says
"This was not a mistake by these men, this was not an oversight," said state Attorney General Linda Kelly. "It was not misjudgment on their part. This was a conspiracy of silence by top officials to actively conceal the truth."
anything like that is damning as can be.

Most embarrassing ISU alum ever?
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -

I am very happy with what Geoffrey did, but it sounds like Spanier would have been a good leader at ISU and he never would have had to worry about some moral dilemma of putting others above the law to appease a ******, ruthless fanbase of sport. Penn State exposed a monster from, what appears to be, a very well rounded and intelligent individual. He could have accomplished a lot at his alma mater and someone who is morally, or lawfully superior could have exposed Sandusky when they should have. Of course, in retrospect, I am glad he did not end up here.

I can only hope you are in the extreme minority on this.
