Gary Patterson to Arkansas?

Re: Gary Patterson to Arkansas?
No way. He hasn't left TCU at this point, I don't see why he leaves now to battle for 4th place in the SEC West every year.

Re: Gary Patterson to Arkansas?
that would be okay by me. Sure, the Big 12 loses a quality coach, but it only improves our chances of beating them every year.

I could see him leaving if he feels like he has maxed out TCU's potential. It's going to be a lot harder to get those 10, 11 win seasons in the B12. It's hard for small private schools to go head to head with Texas and Oklahoma. He's at the age where he probably only has time for one more move. Why not take a shot in the SEC with an Arkansas program that is in much better shape than what they have shown this season?

I see a contract rework in his future...

Arky may be in better shape than they show, but they're still looking at 4th place in their division, at best, most years as long as Saban, Miles, and Sumlin are coaching at their respective schools.

This also might be a good move for him if he has any desire to coach in the NFL. You know Jerry Jones is always watching what is happening at Arkansas.

I'd be willing to bet quite a bit of money that Patterson is at TCU next season.

Would be crazy to leave now with all that young talent coming up. TCU will be a force in another year or two.

I could have seen this a few years ago, but don't see why he'd leave now that they're in the B12

Perfect. One less place for us to be concerned about CPR bolting for.

Not really, because if Patterson takes the Razorback job we will have to worry about CPR bolting for TCU. "There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them.
