I don't understand this AT ALL. ECU has a 52,000 seat stadium they routinely fill and is located in a populous state. Just insane not to include them compared to some of the schools in this state.

ECU should be in a better conference IMO. That conference is not going to make it very long with all the insane traveling teams have to do. I am so thankful that The Big Twelve stuck it out and that we added two quality teams.

I would assume it's because ECU wanted to be an all-sports member and has a weak basketball program (but then again, Houston and SMU so who the hell knows). I stand by my idea that the Big East and non-BCS conferences (outside of the MAC which generally seems stable and makes sense) should just disband and let their members reform into separate football and olympic sport conferences. C-USA, MWC, zombie-WAC, and Sunbelt are all kind of a mess right now.

Stupid. Shame on San Diego State. Them joining the Big West in hoops is worse than doing this in football. I always liked them but I hope they crash and burn no clue why they don't want to play their rivals UNLV and New Mexico anymore?

It should have been just Memphis and UCF (would have allowed hoops to survive Pitt and Cuse loses) with maybe Boise for football only.

Well, winning is still fun and losing still sucks no matter if the team you cheer for belongs to the SEC conference or the MAC. That's my point. I like where ISU is at, but don't really see too much reason to chuckle at this conference.
