Iowa or Nebraska?

Good point. An Iowa win would go a long ways to legitimize that rivalry.

Maybe it's me but my hatred for Nebraska is fading. I grew up in Western Iowa and grew up hating Nebraska almost more than Iowa. Maybe it's because they moved to the Big 10 or maybe it's because I now live in Eastern Iowa or maybe it's because they are pretty irrelevant nationally but Nebraska is starting to be pretty meh to me. They aren't any different than any other Big 10 or SEC team. I like to see them get beat, but don't really think twice about them anymore.

Iowa my my number one most hated team. So this the only time I will root for them. Although I do want that coaching staff at Iowa to stay intact

I will root for our old Big XII brethren, Nebraska and Texas A&M for one reason only...both teams were stuck in mediocrity from 2000-2010 in a conference that cannibalized itself. If both these teams go to their new conferences and win, it reinforces the argument that the Big XII is the toughest conference to play in, TOP to BOTTOM.

Would love Iowa to experience a 77-14 or 73-14 drubbing from Nebraska like they gave us back in the '90s.

I look at it this way. I am cheering for the team in this matchup that can ruin the other teams year.

This year, Iowa is already not going to a bowl game. Nebraska has BCS game hopes. So for this year, I am cheering for Iowa, since they arent going bowling anyway, to ruin Nebraska's BCS game hopes. That would hopefully guarantee only 1 big 10 team in the BCS.

I'm cheering for the Bugeaters.

Reason 1:
By default, I tend to cheer for the land grant institution of any game involving a land grant, and a liberal arts and sciences university (Auburn being the exception - at least until Chizik is fired).

Reason 2:
My two brothers are both Hawkeye fans (one is even an ISU alumnus). I don't want them to be allowed any Hawkeye bragging rights whatsoever for even the slightest thing, Nebraska game included.

Adding to Iowa's suffering is fine. Also, we need to keep open the possibility of a rented-mule beating of Nebraska by Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Nebraska to the Rose Bowl also adds to Iowa's pain. It's an easy answer.
