Re: Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?
Great, now everybody will be trying to poach Campos, not just ISU.

Re: Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?
No way in hell that Butch Davis does not get one of these SEC jobs.

Re: Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?
I'd take him as OC still. Call it a redemption story sans sobriety.

Re: Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?
What's this about "Pinkel not wanting to move to the SEC?" If I recall correctly, he was the biggest supporter of the move. He yelled loud and consistently about wanting out of the unstable Big 12.
I hope he's gone, I hated that ******.
This signature has received the stamp of disapproval from that one guy. -

I hope he's gone, I hated that ******. I could be wrong, but for some reason I don't really remember him rallying the SEC crowd, so much as ******** about Texas destroying the conference: “Obviously, we have some issues in our league. When you have Nebraska leave one year. Colorado leaves. Also now Texas A&M. Three really good football teams. … You know, we’ve got some issues. Without question there’s some issues that other leagues don’t have. You don’t hear anything about any other league in the country having these kind of problems. We all know where it starts.
Mike Alden’s not the point man here. Dan Beebe is. Dan Beebe’s our commissioner. He’s the guy to ask. I don’t know what they’re going to do. I’m just focusing now on winning the football game. … There’s just no one in the country, no other league in the country, where this stuff goes on. And it’s really a shame because the potential of the league is just so tremendous.
“Anyway, I have no control over it. We’re just trying to beat Miami (Ohio).” He may very well have been pro-Big Ten, but for some reason somewhere I seem to remember him making some read-between-the-lines comments that the SEC could be a disaster for Mizzou.

Rumor is that he was against it, but towed the company line.. at least according to Doug Gottlieb on twitter Doug Gottlieb @GottliebShow Pinkell could never, will never admit publicly, but he did not want to go to the SEC-very connected sources have told me time and again -

Re: Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?
I could totally see one of the Pac-12 coaches that just got hired ending up here like Todd Graham did to Pitt and Kifin did to Tennessee. I could see Leach taking this job.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come. -
Re: Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?
From an actual journalist (St Louis Journal doesn't exist as far as I can find): Dave Matter @Dave_Matter Will touch on this later on blog, but a #Mizzou coach shot down Pinkel rumor. Was told there's been zero mention of GP stepping down ∞ -
