Pinkel possibly out at Missouri?

just saw this on twitter

SaintLouisJournal ‏@StLouisJournal Reports out of Columbia that pinkel is going to resign Monday. Nothing confirmed.

I can't remember...what were Pinkel's comments on the move to SEC at the time. Was he for it or a bit uneasy?

For some reason I feel like I remember he was not very excited about going SEC, and I can't blame him for giving the admin the middle finger and splitting town if I'm even close to remembering correctly.

Even though I hate the guy, firing a pretty proven coach one year into play in the nation's toughest conference is pretty idiotic for Mizzou. They should at least keep him another year or so.

All they need to do is look east at nearby Kentucky and Tennessee to see how you can be an SEC doormat for decades or go from top 5 in the nation to doormat for a full decade.

A friend of mine said that while going through his divorce he impregnated a 26 year old reporter from KC. No official word on this is the reason, but more than likely the reason why he is resigning.

It says he is resigning, and you would think this would have to be the case. I cant see this being a McCarney situation.

I heard he was going to resign a few weeks ago due to the ugly divorce and his $26,000/month payments to his ex-wife.

Missouri could easily fall on very hard times in football. They are the northern-most SEC team and much like that is a disadvantage to us in the Big 12, it will hurt them as well.

What is the connection to the university? If he just got somebody else pregnant while he's going through a divorce, I guess I don't see what the big deal is and why he would have to resign. Is she on the AD payroll?
