Happy Jimmy V Week

Every year, as we kick off Jimmy V week, we are reminded of a man who even though his body was covered with tumors and was unable to walk on and off the stage under his own power, bravely gave an amazing speech that we look back to annually even 19 years later.

"Do three things every day. Laugh, Think, and have your emotions move you to tears. If you do each of those things every day, that's a pretty full day."

When we think we face adversity, we know nothing like he saw. I wish to be 1/2 the man Coach V was.

Does UNC have a decent team or what? If so, they left it at home.

One of the greatest men ever to play or coach. He is the epitome that the love many people have for sports has little to do with the sport itself, but rather people like Jim Valvano and moments like this.

It was especially fitting listening to the speech again last night after hearing about the passing of CR Kennedy's Drew Wall who courageously fought cancer for the past 5 years and was an inspiration to his teammates and the school. Here is a story from October about Drew
