I see nothing wrong w/ students getting free tickets. More schools should do this.

Looks familiar...
"The athletics department has decided to offer ISU student tickets for $25 each and subsidize the price difference." -
Re: NIU giving away tickets for free
I guess I should have a problem with them providing a service for their students?
Should it be worse when I consider that they do this for their bowl game every year?
Sure, it's awful that they aren't functioning like they want to make a profit, but that isn't supposed to be the idea behind college sports anyway.

Re: NIU giving away tickets for free
A Duke donor has footed the bill for 500 student tickets for their bowl game in Charlotte.

Re: NIU giving away tickets for free
Surprised ISU is not doing this?

Re: NIU giving away tickets for free
NIU has to pay for 17,500 tickets anyways whether or not they can sell them (avg attendance was less than that), why not get some students there?

Re: NIU giving away tickets for free
I wonder if ISU ever went to a BCS bowl would they be able to sell 17,500 tickets? I hope I get to see it in my lifetime.
