I work with a guy whose son is friends with Johnny (the kid was in NYC for the Heisman presentation and got his picture taken with Johnny and the actual Heisman). The simple answer is they have a mutual friend whose parents are loaded. I think the mutual friend's parents own some business in the Dallas area. Anyway, I know the friend's parents had enough money to fly my coworker's son up to NYC and pay for his hotel and food during Heisman week.
Why would it? One bad game doesn't change a thing. Iowa will still be a darkhorse B1G championship contender, and Iowa State will be lucky to make the NIT.
No way they take a big name draw out of the high profile bowl game. See precedent set by NCAA in reference to Terrell Pyror.
What a bunch of horse crap that was.
Do you know why I put up with this 'pitiful job', Mr. Donaghy, why I fetch these folks' lunches and clean up their barfs? Cause they make television. And more then jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform.
