I just want the game to be called like 99% of the rest of college football games. I like consistency from the refs so that the players know what to expect, so that the refs are only in the background of the game, and so that player safety is not unnecessarily compromised.

Agreed. Crying about the refs usually means the team you were hoping would win got their butts kicked and you're looking for someone to blame. 15 years ago those calls were never made. Now if someone gets touched a second after they step out of bounds people go berserk. Lame.
Re: Fiesta Bowl - Oregon vs. Kansas State
I am actually quite surprised at the humbleness of Chip Kelly, Varner, and Clay... They seem like standup guys, other son the team are too gabby.....
Re: Fiesta Bowl - Oregon vs. Kansas State
Couldn't watch this live. My recording started right at kick off.. I hit play and walk to the kitchen to grab my drink. I should have known better with oregon, but damn.. I walk in 10 seconds after hitting play and I already missed a freaking touchdown. Unreal

I don't know of anything either, but I would be interested to see what their deal with Nike is really like. I would think their uniform situation is somewhat of a recruiting advantage. Probably not illegal, but it seems a little shady that Oregon gets all the goods that other teams don't get.

No different than what Maryland has with Under Armor.
Re: Fiesta Bowl - Oregon vs. Kansas State
Personally I loved the game!!!
I don't know how anyone can't like watching Oregon, they are exciting and fast on offense and they blitz from crazy formations on defense.
I really wish Barner would have got more publicity for his season because he is a really good RB.

Well, it is on record that Oregon gave Lache Seatrunk's parents money, and thats just the one I know of without doing any research.

How were those jerseys special? They just looked like the wings had reflective materiel on them and we've seen that before.

link? The only thing I'm aware of being on record is the $25,000 payment to Willie Lyles for dubious "scouting services." I don't remember anything about money going to Seastrunk's parents. Was there something on that?
Re: Fiesta Bowl - Oregon vs. Kansas State
Janny, you are right. My mistake

If that's true Seastrunk should be in trouble too, but if we learned anything from the Cam Newton fiasco it's ok to give recruits parents money

Sorry, didn't meant to put you on the spot like that. I just thought you might have heard something that I hadn't.
The Willie Lyles situation is tough. I'm not sure how the NCAA would handle it, considering they don't have the power to subpoena his bank records. They know that Oregon paid him, but don't know if any money every went to Seastrunk. And since he technically provided them with scouting reports (however outdated), unless someone comes forward and talks, I don't think much will happen with it.
