Well that is good news. I could of seen Rhoads going to Oregon and leaving us with Mess for our new coach.

    Re: Chip Kelly

Brandon Weeden running a Chip Kelly offense never made much sense. I think Kelly is a great offensive mind and would be fine with whatever QB, but with all the hype the college type offense is getting from the media he'd be under too much pressure to bring Oregon's offense with him. He'll end up somewhere with a young mobile QB or on a team with an aging (or lame duck) QB on the way out who is looking to draft someone to run his offense.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.

    Re: Chip Kelly

You guys didn't watch much of Cleveland did you? Cleveland is the youngest (or second youngest) team in the NFL. There are literally zero veterans besides the kicker. I think you would need that to accept Chip's crazy style of football, at least by NFL standards. Veterans would never completely buy in.

We have a pretty stout defensive secondary and a good lineman will improve that even more.

Our offense had several rookies on it but still performed pretty well, just made silly mistakes. And do you guys not recall that Weeden did almost 100% no huddle at Oklahoma State? Guess you guys forgot. We have a great running back in Trent Richardson (broke Jim Brown's rookie rushing record).

Also Cleveland is not a complete ********. Cleveland has the following which makes it a pretty good place to live. Especially if you live in a Suburb, which Chip would.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park - "Only 33,000" acres... and its right outside the city
Playhouse Square - Largest Theater District in the country outside of NYC
Great Lakes Brewing Company - Fantastic Craft Brewery
Cleveland Clinic - Best hospital in the world, no really
Warehouse District - A few dozen old industrial warehouses converted into very high class bars and restaurants
West Side Market - Voted best Gyro's in the country by Food Network hosts
Architecture - Rivals that of old New York, if you're an architecture buff, Cleveland is no Joke
    Melt - Delicious Cheesey Goodness
Horseshoe Casino - You know in "A Christmas Story" where they go shopping and he goes down that big slide? Well that building is now a beautiful casino.

I can go on and on. I could write a book on why Cleveland is better than Eugene Oregon, unless you're a hipster, you'd be crazy not to get huge dollars to come to a great city that is vastly underrated.

I agree that Cleveland gets a bad rap. It's definitely a fun town. Downtown and the Case Western area are a blast.

    Re: Chip Kelly

Kelly going to the Browns would be coaching suicide same goes for the Buffalo job. Both those teams will never win consistently ever again. Kelly would be better served looking at Philly, Chicago, San Diego jobs.

Doug Marrone new Buffalo Bills coach, leaves Syracuse Orange, sources say - ESPN
Not going to Buffalo. I think he should go to Philly. They have players that would fit the best in his offense.

He and Philly appear to be having intense talks. That would be the best option for him for the NFL.

Well, this report dashes my philly prognostication.

    Eagles Offense - Philadelphia Eagles - 2013 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

"Sources are telling CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora that Chip Kelly has decided to stay at Oregon rather than accepting the Eagles' offer."

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

If Chip had gone to Cleveland, I bet that they would have drafted Geno Smith and traded Weeden
