I'm on the fence about Te'o's involvement mainly because I firmly believe Notre Dame would investigate and throw him under the bus to protect themselves if they didn't believe him.
He's either a great actor or a really naive person.
He knew the guy behind it....did no one read the article...he is either 1. Gay and this was an elaborate cover. 2. It was a well played dupe and embarrassed by having a girlfriend he never met lied about meeting her etc. 3. He schemed with the other samoan guy and created a story line to generate pub for hiesman....all scenarios he did a lot of lying.
I didn't know about this either, but it is disgusting that he did it, disgusting that none of his teammates or friends came clean on this. And that the media didn't catch it. How gross. I absolutely HATE N.D.!

you must have a different definition of the word "met" than I do.
I asked if he ever said he met her physically and the poster replied that Manti had said "she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen." I was just saying that doesn't mean he ever physically met her.
“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.”
