Even with Illinois not beating Indiana.
They should beat Purdue, Nebraska, and Penn St. at home (should), they'll need to beat Iowa or Northwestern on the road.
Win 1 more in the Big 10 Tourney and I can see Illinois making it.

Win 1 more in the Big 10 Tourney and I can see Illinois making it. That would still make them only 7-11 in the conference. They have 3 wins after Indiana. They would need to beat both NW and Iowa (or a Minnesota, Michigan, or tOSU) on the road to get to 8.
And Illinois doesn't even have that difficult of a B1G schedule. They only play MSU and Indiana once each. They've already lost to Minny, Northwestern, and Wisconsin at home, and no NCAA team should lose all 3 of those.

Re: Indiana vs Illinois
Well, Illinois is back in the dance right now. However, if they lose to Purdue and Northwestern again, they are out. I just cannot believe they won. How did Indiana fall apart?

Re: Indiana vs Illinois
I'd rather IU won. We are likely to be on the bubble imo, and now Illinois likely gets in with a 8-10 record in the Big 10.

Wins against Butler, Gonzaga, @ Ohio St., and now Indiana. Got two bad losses to Purdue and Northwestern.
21 wins I think locks them in.

21 wins I think locks them in. You know, I think you're right. They could probably go 8-12 in the conference (counting the tournament) and still get in with that really strong nonconference scheduel

21 wins I think locks them in. Maybe, Illinois wins are impressive but my god they **** the bed in their losses. There resume is better than Iowa's at this point though.
