NCAA needs to go to 30 second shot clock. I wouldn't be opposed to 8 seconds to get it across half court either. And the mugging defenses have to go, it is bad for the game.
I dont know that the shot clock would fix it. It might help with those teams that really grind it out, but it wouldnt fix the defensive end of the equation, so you'd just result in a lot more junk shots being put up.
I constantly yell at the TV when announcers give out bad information. They kept saying that New Mexico had never advanced to the Sweet Sixteen, which was wrong. They have been in two. One time that was their first game, so they technically didn't "advance", but the other time, they had to win to get there, so they did advance.
