Not even in Wrestling!
I could see Ohio State pulling it off with the right matchup. Nobody else in the B1G has a shot in hell, though.
Undefeated and they'll likely make it to the game, unless you have an undefeated SEC team and an undefeated B12 team with a higher SOS. Anything can happen in one game though the odds are they'll lose that game.
Once the playoff starts undefeated will definitely get a playoff spot but would mean beating 2 likely better teams in the playoff.
Ohio State will be in the championship next year, but I doubt they would win it if they're up against a team like Bama
I see Michigan and OSU being rather scary with high talent levels. BUT...their downfall when it comes to selection is the lousy conference they play in. The Big 10 is currently the Sisters of the Weak and Poor when it comes to football.
Between the Big XII and Big 10 in football, there is simply no debate. But if you're talking just strictly nc game, then Ohio State has a chance simply because the rest of the conference blows so they have a decent chance of going undefeated.
Since the Big 10 is a joke and Ohio State will have no problem going undefeated they will play for the national title. Not sure they can beat an SEC team (probably Alabama) in the title game though.
I'd take the bet for sure if it was the next two years. Give Urban 3 years and I think I'd think it be getting close to 50/50.
I'm going with probably not but it could happen. Alabama was the best team in the country this last year but you just gotta remember that if Baylor didn't knock off k-state we would've had a title match between them and notre dame. If an sec team isn't in the title games then I'll say sure they can get there, not sure if Ohio state would win it but they could get there, if they play an sec team like Georgia Florida Alabama or LSU then I'm gonna go with no
Urban and his spread offense beating saban and Alabama?
Ohio state would have finished 7th in the SEC last season.
you guys need to keep in mind that the Big 10 has a different definition of "National Championship" than the rest of us do. After all, in their minds, Iowa played for a "National Championship" in basketball this year. For all we know, there's some sort of National Invitational College Football Championship governing body that recognizes the Gator Bowl as their championship game. :jimlad:
