Where I will give JP credit on this is that at least this time he's set the date before people renew their tickets, unlike the past two Thursday games.
So if it's that devestating to people, this time around they have an alternative.

Listen, I don't like ripping on things the administration does. But by demanding more and more money, they are inviting people to get more and more vocal about the things that upset them. It's just like the people that say Ferentz shouldn't be held to a different standard because he makes 3 million dollars. Of course he should, and if our athletic department wants to charge some of the highest prices in the country for tickets they should expect to hear some crap about scheduling when it really messes with people's ability to you know... actually use those tickets. Couldn't agree more Bryce.

Rumors had been going around that ISU was trying to get out of the UNLV game to add another home game.

Not. Not to be a jerk, but it's not the Athletic Department's fault that you can't make that game. That being said, I see why that is frustrating to you.

Second - What do you think that poll would look like if they moved all the games to Thurs?
Point being, what this poll does say is that over 1/4 of our fans DON'T like the game. Using this years attendance - that's ball park 12.5K. Not doing the program a service by hacking off 1/4 of the ticket holders, are we? What is also says is that we should only really expect 38-40K for this game. That's a reach, because although I don't like the Thursday game - I most likely will make it as will probably most others.
I should've split the vote into two parts - students and non-students. Have a feeling that is a consideration.

Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
Only a quarter of the people 'don't like it' that doesn't mean that they aren't going to go. From what I see 75% of the people are fine with it and 50% LIKE it, thats a pretty good approval rating if you ask me...

Just because 50-75 say they approve or are indifferent - doesn't mean they're going either.
Works both ways.
However - I'd wager it's more likely that people don't like it because they can't go. More likely than those who like it because they can go.
