Pretty much exactly what I expected, but please allow me to BARF all over the Thursday night opener again.

I'll second that.
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
i hate the thursday night game. basically paying 350 for 5 tickets then. that sucks. oh well, gonna cough it up anyway, just wish i would be able to see every game i am paying for-if not in person at least on t.v. but we all know that isn't likely either.
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
I was really hoping against the Thursday night game. Makes it hard to get there from out of state
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
The Athletic department would probably say we got a an extra game for free last year.......haha!

Wow. A Thursday night game against a 1-AA (or FCS) team? What's the point?

Bush League if it isn't for TV. (or Busch league or however you want to spell it. That goes to our University and AD for scheduling it and to our fans who won't show up that weekend because it is labor day weekend, and to our students who leave to go home after only 1 week of class.
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
The same OLD argument will be made that it is more Labor Day Weekend friendly for the students and families. That's complete BS and always has been. All it lends to is terrible tailgaiting because the people that do show don't show until 30 min before the game and a terrible gameday atmosphere mostly driven by the fact no one is able to adequately tailgate.
BOOOOOOO to JP on continuing this yet again.
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
Link added above.
I'd like to know who this "large segment of the fan base" is who give a "favorable response".
I don't know anybody who would rather have that game on Thursday over Saturday.

If you do not like the Thursday game, email Pollard, He needs to hear from those of us that think it stinks.
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
The thought in the athletic office is that the Thursday night game is a big draw for families. I personally don't like them just like you guys but that's because you don't get the whole pre-game festivities and the atmosphere just isn't the same since most people are coming from work.
Re: 2008 Football Ticket Details
Let's hit JP with the CF email fest! The Thursday night game needs to stop.
