Hawaii's coach is saying Aloha

Re: Hawaii's coach is saying Aloha
Which Aloha? Aloha to Hawaii or Aloha to SMU? Or would it be both? Why does Aloha have to mean both Hello and Goodbye? My simple mind can understand these things.
There could be a lynching at Hawaii because of this. They are very passionate about their program right now.

You can't tell me Southern Methodist has a ton of money to be throwing around...

Hawaii was 0-12 in 1999. Quite the turnaround. Jones is a good coach but good enough to pay him $2 million per year?

Re: Hawaii's coach is saying Aloha
I dont think he has proved anything about being a good coach. He ran a spread offense that was pass happy 60 times a game in a low tier confernce. The one game he plays a quality opponent he loses by over 30.
Good luck to him, but I'm thinking he would wish to be back at Hawaii in a 2-3 years.

Re: Hawaii's coach is saying Aloha
Anybody notice that the name of their booster club is "Na Koa"? I don't know what it means but it sure makes "National Cyclone Club" sound kind of lame.

I believe it means "The Warrior". I don't know what all of the NCC money goes for but at Na Koa has to purchase the football equipment and provide a training table for the team. That university must really be hard up for money. UH Football Booster Club: Na Koa -
Re: Hawaii's coach is saying Aloha
"Na Koa" means "The Warrior" in Hawaiian.
EDIT: Dang, beat me by a little bit.

Did you see how SMU is funding this....?
20 Boosters at 100 grand each for 5 years.....?
Might as well call in Pro-College Football....Money will ruin sports!

Wow, just Wow. I'm sorry to see collegiate sports come to this.
