over the years I've heard it a hundred times that we don't have enough talent in Iowa to field a D1 team, (and that might be so), but if Coach C can start convincing young men like this to stay home and play for STATE it sure won't hurt us any.

For instance guys like Mr. Keenan Davis I think he would be a great get but it is looking very unlikely

Washingon has produced some great players over the years, it's just too bad it is waaaaayyyyy too close to IC.

if adrian is smart he wont sign an agent and will just go through the combines, he has a real opportunity to be a star next year. he would be their #1 receiver and could improve his draft position to first round, as it sits now i dont see him going first round. on a personal note i talked him in high school and he had to sit out for a few series getting taped up. i know im a hard @$$

I went to Wash and ran track with Adrian. I'm not surprised at all that he's going to the draft, but a little disappointed. I think he could have improved his draft stock a lot by staying for his last year.

That being said, watch out for Keenan Davis. But don't worry about him going to the hawks, he'll be going way higher than that -- LSU, USC, etc..

Didn't he have a problem with beating up his girlfriend? I live in CR and have heard he was a bad seed and that Carr had to cover up somethings.

I think if Arrington stayed he'd be lucky to get 50 catches for something like 600 yards. Check out West Virginia's pass offense this year, nothing to get real excited about, around 1800 yards total. Being the #1 receiver in that offense really won't mean much, unless he wants to showcase his blocking abilities for the scouts.

He caught 67 balls for 882 yards and 8 TDs this year, which is more than enough evidence for scouts to prove that he can get it done on the field. As long as he doesn't tank at the combine or in any workouts, he'll be fine.

After the game he had against Florida his stock is as high as it has ever been so its a smart move.

Heard an interview with NFL draft guru Gil Brant. He made a point that receivers should never come out early because the ones that do are always behind the learning curve in terms of reading coverages and adjusting routes. He specifically mentioned the problems that CJ with the Lions had this year.

He said that many rookie receivers bounce around from camp to camp until they finally hook on with somebody. It's usually not physical talent that is holding them back. Many talented rookie receivers who actually make a team go through a period of being on/off the activation list. The maturity and recognition gained from an extra year of college always benefits a receiver.

While that may be true, I don't think playing another year in a spread option offense would be all that beneficial to Arrington. No NFL team will ever run the spread option, so switching to that might actually be a detriment. As isufbcurt stated, his stock is as high as it's ever going to get.

His brother wants him to stay and graduate but the change in offense may have been a factor. AA was leaning towards leaving before the bowl game. His performance probably solidified it.
