From the people I have spoken with on Mac recently, it would be unlikely that he takes this So. Alabama gig. He did interview, but is not especially interested in taking a head coaching job that can not afford decent assistant coaches and would move him away from the Florida area.

I have no inside info, but I concur that it makes no sense. Mac is way too competitive to play with one hand tied behind his back, and he and Margy love Tampa

Roughly an hour to hour and a half apart depending on traffic and where you are coming from or going to in the metro areas.
