Objectively I don't think this is a big deal. From an NCAA consistency standpoint it is yet another example of total BS. How is this different than Jiri getting a few meals and some cloths from his host family?

Jiri's host family were contributors to ISU at one point in time, and thus considered boosters....in the case of Melo, I think the assumption here is that Melo is not a booster of USC making it alright. And then also, he's a friend of Mayo's.

Wow, I'm very disappointed. Not that it matters, but it's just a shame. So who was the charity, the board of the NCAA!
