ESPN - Oregon AD apologizes for fans' behavior toward Love - Men's College Basketball

This is pretty sad... Especially since they directed some of this at the father of the player, considering he played for Oregon.

Not like we have never done chants that were in bad taste......
um wait, I seem to remember "Sex Offender" just a few years back being chanted in Hilton.... oh well.

Yeah... tasteless as well... But they were doing this to the kids father too... Plus making homophobic remarks...

I was there and believe me we threw every thing in the book at him that we could form into a chant. Not saying I'm pround of it, but I do remember those games very well.

Twice Sullivan came over to the student sections and signaled for the chants to lower and stop.

Kinda figured it was just that he was a homegrown kid. But the specific points of the homophobic comments kinda led me down another path - couldn't find anything though.

That's pretty bush. I know we've razzed the Halluskas, Collisons and Hinrichs - but I don't think it's ever quite got that point. Maybe Adam a bit. But I have to feel bad for that kid.

As for Pierce -well, I wouldn't want my kids subjected that environment and diplay of chanting and such. But as for Pierce - he's POS so I really couldn't care less about HIM.

Nothing new. Obviously a slow media day. Don't go on stage unless you are ready for the tomatoes. This article and our responses only do more harm than good.
