NCAA ROSTER SIZE???

I was amazed at the number of players K-state has verbals from....32 now....so i looked at their roster to see they had 99 players listed on their roster. Now, from what i know, they can have 85 on scholarships.

What i'm trying to figure out is they have 24 sr's listed on that roster of 99. So if every one of them is on schollie and they lose 24 players, how can they sign 32 which is their current commit list?

Another concept there is going through the list of recruits, so many JUCOS its really unbelievable......and they're not just from Kansas, they have JUCOS from it seems every junior college in north america!!!!

Ron Prince is selling his soul to the devil to win this year or he may be gone!!!!!

Re: NCAA ROSTER SIZE???

you have to remember that JUCO's is how Snyder built KSU up in the first place, and then through recruiting, and then when he had potentially great teams, he would find another juco or someone (Michael Bishop) to fill the void and keep them at the top. Snyder was good at that...
As for the recruit numbers, I'm guessing several are academic liabilities and will never make it there, some might end up being preferred walk ons, etc... so it'll be interesting to see the final number. Most schools shoot for about 25 each given year...

Re: NCAA ROSTER SIZE???

He over recruits assuming not all the Juco's will make it. Dan Mac tried the Juco route I think in 02 or 03. He did not over recruit and had about half show up. He got burned pretty bad. That recruiting class was the beggining of the end. So Prince knows what he is doing with Juco's.

You must b kidding about R. Prince?!?! He is 2-0 vs Texas. I would say that buys him time. Seems to be a great coach from what I've seen. Granted suffering a setback to istate did not good
