[quote=CYCLONE STATE;353895]It looks like he made it all up! "I wanted to play d-1 ball more than anything, when I realized that wasn't going to happen I made up what I wanted to be reality"
I read that on The Register website I think. Why the heck would you do that. I could maybe understand him making up the story and telling it to his buddies but to pull a press conference...thats crazy.

The kid actually made it all up. I saw a newsclip of it on Yahoo. Why would you make something like that up?

It's actually painful to watch now knowing what he did.

Good parents would know what was going on.
Also, as his high school coach shouldn't there have been a red flag? Would it be suspicious at all if not one coach called to talk to you about the recruit? After coaching him wouldn't you kind of know that the kid doesn't have the talent to play at that level? The dang coach actually sat next to him at this fake signing.

Why would you even make up something like that? He had an offer from Oregon, who is a big time school.

It's really just sad. Hopefully he recovers, but his credibility is shot.

I wish more high school kids would do this. It would create all sorts of chaos in recruiting circles, and, thanks to the NCAA regulations, the schools would be powerless to stop it.
It would pretty much shut up all the stupid recruiting drama that goes on, since nobody would REALLY know who was going where, and who was offered by who.
