Wasn't Appleton pretty high on Indiana as well as us, KU, and Kentucky? Maybe this will take them out of the running. (not that the other two are ones I like our chances against)

I think we all know this will all be pinned on Lucca Staiger for living in a state that starts with the same letter as Indiana.

Thanks for keeping the Indiana coaching seat warm for me.

I hear they might hire Jerry Takanian. Todd Bozeman is interested as well.

IU screwed up by hiring him. He can coach but they had to have known how dirty he was/is.

What about Rick neuheisel? He has had his share of NCAA violations. They could have him run their football program. Oh, wait, UCLA already did that.

Yeah, I never cared for the guy that much either. (Ever since he beat out Tim Floyd for coach of the year.) Here's another link... Rivals.com College Basketball - NCAA report details violations at Indiana |

Indiana Golden Boy Steve Alford will never coach in the Big 10154 again. I dont know if he wants to go back to Indiana. Like you said he is the golden boy there why would he want to screw the basketball program up and not be the golden boy. Right now he can do no wrong in the state. As bad as he messed up Iowa i doubt his phone is ringing off the hook, he is lucky to have the job he has now.

I am sure he outdraws Iowa where he is now at least.

I don't really think Steve would be Indiana's first choice but after they are sanctioned no other self respecting coach will want to touch that job until things are cleared up with the NCAA.

Sampson is good as gone according to rumors.
Question is do they wait until end of year or cut their ties now. I know they have a decent season going, but if they have any hope of escaping the NCAA wrath, they'd be smart to cut ties now.
I predict he is gone within the week.
