Will he get in trouble this time? He just got slapped on the wrist the last 2 times. Wonder what Bobby Knight thinks of this.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

I think it might be getting time think about cutting ties with Sampson if I'm IU. This kind of stuff can't sit well with one of the more storied programs in the nation. Sampson just seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time a little too much. I didn't follow the previous allegations too closely, but the article says he got in trouble for being involved with 3-way calls involving another coach and a recruit. He claimed he didn't know he was on a 3-way call. How do you not know you're on a 3-way call? And then to have his assistant take the fall for him? That's class right there.

No different than what he did at OU....wonder if they'll actually punish him this time. I admire alot of the coaches around the country as great leaders, but I never liked Sampson. Good riddance if they get rid of him.

Re: Indiana faces recruiting violations

But ESPN.com has learned over the last week that the NCAA uncovered new information since Indiana self-reported violations under second-year head coach Kelvin Sampson in October.

Sampson had been sanctioned after making impermissible phone calls while he was the coach at Oklahoma. Indiana then revealed more bad calls while Sampson was at IU. Multiple sources told ESPN.com that the NCAA was looking into whether Sampson did not tell the truth about those calls, resulting in the allegations of major violations.
Doesn't look good. I can't understand how Sampson could keep repeating these violations.

He probably just didn't understand the clearly stated document that he signed, over and over, month by month. Yeah, riiiiiight.

Or, he cheated. I wonder?

Sampson? In trouble? No.....

Maybe in disciplining Sampson this time around they'll shy away from the "rule of thumb" method and instead try the "rule of wrist..."

What? Sanction Sampson? Why would you want to do something crazy like punishing a serial cheater?

Now, lets get back to punishing innocent foreign athletes in "small name" schools....

Sampson need's to start taking Chantix my non-smoking drug. See if it can't help with recruiting violations. Maybe he can put the freakin phone down.

Sampson is the king of recruiting violations. I doubt Brand will want to punish him that badly since Brand came from IU.

NCAA won't do much. They have more important things to do than take down coaches at big schools....

Like screw over innocent foreign kids who did nothing wrong.

.... Or so I'm told.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the possibility of Lickliter being interested in the job as an Indiana boy.
