Stephen Curry

This kid is truly amazing. He has so much talent and can light it up from anywhere on the court. It's amazing to me that the only two schools that offered him were Davidson and VCU. The only large school that even looked at him as Va Tech. Duke and UNC have to be kicking themselves that they didn't even take a look at him. Granted they are both pretty set at the guard position. I believe all he needs to do to have a successful NBA career is to get stronger.

The back to back shots he made with the layup and 3 with about 3min left were amazing.

What year is he in school? Heard a quote from Roy Williams lamenting the fact that they missed the boat on him.

I wonder if he can bench press 300 lbs?

No kidding. It seems to me a lot of great shooters can't bench press worth a crap.

Why? Kevin Durant couldn't and it didn't hurt his ability to dominate CBB. I do think strength is critical in today's game for all participants but using the bench press as your measure of strength is a flawed concept in my opinion.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

I believe Go2 is making reference (with sarcasm) to our recruit Wes Eikmeier. Some on this board continually bring up Wes' lack of size as a huge problem.

Re: Stephen Curry

This is funny...

As the final seconds ticked down, Curry jumped at midcourt, did a chest bump with Richards and was mobbed by the rest of his teammates.

Then, the team gathered in front of the band and sang Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," which had become the theme song during Davidson's memorable season.
I hope we can be singing Sweet Caroline like this during the football season

So...wasn't Drake the team that was supposed to be having that "magical season" this year?

Someone's not reading the s-c-r-i-p-t right.

Davidson is looking pretty tough. I assume they have the longest win streak going, 20 some games.

Actually, I'm sarcastically referencing Larry Eustachy's old drill Sargent requirements for our guards / shooting guards to bench 300 lbs.

ISU is woefully lacking in shooting ability for the past many years - this year was one of the worst. Besides Sullivan, we have not had outside scoring threat.

And when I look at teams like Davidson and Butler (not to mention pros like R Miller and Curry), who posses excellent shooting teams, it makes me wonder if the Power-Lifting requirements are over-blown.

It's an age-old debate I had with a bunch of fellow 'Clones from an old board - I was in the minority with that opinion.

Don't get me wrong; weight "TRAINING" is an important element of conditioning for basketball. I just don't see great shooters possessing the ability to power-lift 300 lbs .
