I think Bennent would be a good choice, but he'll be one hot commodity this year. Also would you want to go to program that looks like it's going on probation?
Obviously we had our problems after the LE fiasco, but no probations. IU is in a world of hurt and the next 4 or 5 years might make our last 5 look like a cake walk.
I think they were set on giving it Dakich until he fell flat on his face. But they'll get a good coach because of the name on their jersey...even if the program is in trouble.
I would agree with ianconnor that wayne morgan would be a great fit (sarcasm). I am sure Wayne has some pretty high demands that he needs met if he is going to settle on one of the many offers I'm sure are comming his way (sarcasm).
I had heard earlier in the week that Bennett is "likely" to go to Cal, so he may be off the table. Until I heard that, I didn't realize Braun was out at Cal. What happened there? Just a couple years ago he was the flavor of the month and had to deny he was a candidate for every job that was open.
If Bennett is going to Cal then Wash St was foolish to not put in a stipulation in his contract that forbidded him from taking any other jobs within the conference.
