The big thing he told Mac was that he didn't want to work as hard as Mac wanted him too...specifically, defensively. |

Honestly, who says that to a coach and expects to be patted on the back for it.

I think that pretty much highlights why they didn't click...although it looks bad; long term it was probably a good thing that most of the players left during the coaching change. There was some potential cancer among them. |

I was just curious to see what Memphis has coming back as far as big men. Dozier is a junior and they have over 580 pounds in two sophomore posts (Pierre Niles 6-8 310, Hashim Bailey 6-10 273). If anything Taggart may be well bruised. |

I have also heard them say on the broadcasts that Calipari thinks Taggart is going to be a special player at Memphis. I guess you all can continue to knock this kid but his coach (who has coached two different schools into the Final Four) seems to think is an OK player.

But I have yet to see a coach (outside of Knight) down play a player to the press that is on his team. Consider the source, I guess.
Otherwise those that still see Taggart as a great player with great potential as of right now, probably want ed WM to still be our coach.

However, the fact remains that he is the 6th man and a key contributor on a team that is in the Final 4 with a legitimate chance to win it all. I think that might qualify him as being a pretty decent player. Memphis is a pretty stellar program right now...over 100 wins in the last 3 years with 2 Elite 8s and 1 Final 4. You all can keep knocking the kid but I really think it looks petty and foolish to do so.
