Bob Knight
I have to say, he's kind of growing on me. Watching the pregame show right now and he looks like he really, really wants to punch Dukie V...

Re: Bob Knight
How many people can pull the sweatervest look off?

Re: Bob Knight
Yes, he always seems to want to hit him. And i also think it's funny how DV keeps sucking up to him.

Re: Bob Knight
Bob Knight controls that desk. I loved it when Dick V was going a little wild after the final 4 games and Bob Knight crawled under the desk!

Re: Bob Knight
Bobby is definately getting more comfortable in the commentator chair... Having gone to a camp of his I think he really has a knack for putting things into words that anyone can understand, something that really helps him relate to any player, fan, kid, etc.

Re: Bob Knight
You can tell that he really understands the game of basketball better than all of those guys combined. He just seems at times that he wants to say to Vitale just shut up and I'll explain what happened and what to expect to happen next.

Re: Bob Knight
I love it how he just tells it like it is

Dont most of us given the chance. BK calls it like it is and has forgot more about it than those clowns he is on with will ever know. Its just too bad they dont let him talk more.

Re: Bob Knight
Bob Knight has quickly turned into one of my favorite commentators on that squad. He doesn't try to shine at the camera, he doesn't suck up to anyone else... he's everything a sports anchor should be.
I loved his rant tonight about how loose college basketball officiating has gotten. He's not afraid to speak his mind.
Bobby, I'm officially sorry for heckling you when you visited Hilton!

Re: Bob Knight
I lived in Bloomington, doing sales, for a few months in '94 and '95. He was so good with local media and Indiana fans. Something, few people realize, he has a great heart. He just has no patience and he is not pollitically correct, which I love. He is hard to like until you see him in a more intimate setting.
As for Dick V. BK and him are best of friends. Not sure if BK respects DV for his knowledge, but he has always been Bobby's best fan.

Re: Bob Knight
Both of my parents went to Indiana, so I've grown up a Bob Knight fan... always has been my favorite college basketball coach.

Re: Bob Knight
I'm glad his appearances on ESPN have opened the eyes of many to his greatness.

Re: Bob Knight
I have always had a ton of respect for Bobby, but I will never regret heckling him! I would love to see him shoot a chair across Hilton, can you imagine the magic that would produce.... man!
All things flow according to the whims of the great magnet. "You know, that might be the answer - to act boastfully about something we ought to be ashamed of. That's a trick that never seems to fail."
