Good. IMO, the current system gives us a much more legit national champ than a 16 team playoff would.

Personally, I'd love to see playoffs at the end of the year. Works pretty well for the NFL. No controversy at least.

I personally don't like the format as it is. I think they should go to the four best teams in the nation and play for the championship that way. The current one doesn't always give us the best picture of the national champion, ala the 2004 season where Auburn was left out.

I agree. And to go along with that, who would want to watch MORE football? I mean what I waste of time. Keep the B cS system.

The best team could end up playing its one bad game at the wrong time and end up not winning the title. IMO, at least with the BCS at least the best team gets a shot in the national title game. Don't get me wrong, the BCS is far from perfect, but it gives a more true national champ than the NCAA tourney does.
Really, the NBA playoffs (or MLB or NHL) is the only championship that gives a true champion.

I somewhat agree. I've always found it interesting that so many ISU fans believe it's the only fair way to decide the national champion, when we also tend to believe we were screwed in the MBB tournament in 2000 by having to play MSU so close to their home.
It may be more fair than the BCS, but it's not perfect.

Good, I was afraid that D1 football would join every other division and level of football and institute a playoff.

Why does nobody like the BCS bowl system? I understand many people want a "true" national champion and a playoff system with a 16 team format but then what would teams like ISU be playing for? They would play their 12 game season and be done. ISU could even have a great 9-3 season and have nothing to play for. At least now ISU can go to a bowl game and have something to shoot for that is realistic.

I don't like the plus 1, if there is some sort of playoffs they need at least 16 teams. I would prefer it though if the playoff would be like the one in BASEketball and last 7 months.

Here is my major problem with a college football playoff system. It is only going to make the good teams better. They will get even more money for playing in more games. There is a difference between a team going and playing in a BCS Bowl when compared a team playing in 3 more nationally televised game.
Teams that aren't at the point where they can compete to get into the playoffs, about 103 teams, get to sit back and lose money. At least in the NFL, the teams that don't make the playoffs get first dibs at the best players coming into the league.
I just don't think that it is a good idea without a solid profit sharing plan.
