Favorite Sports Announcers
College Basketball: Ron Franklin + Fran Frashilla. Great team, very knowledgeable of B12 and very complimentary of Hilton Magic & the Cyclones. College Basketball Studio: Jay Billis - most intelligent announcer, Len Elmore and Clark Kellogg. Golf: Johnny Miller - he's awesome and real. College Football: Ron Franklin. Studio: Doug Flutie is one of the most real and honest, Craig James Pro Football: Paul McGuire - he's hilarious and knowledgeable. Pro Baseball: Joe Morgan - one the greatest and not into hyperbole. Peter Gammon - Commentary. Boxing: Jim Lampley. Very knowledgeable. Tennis: John McEnroe is the best ever. Bud Collins for his encyclopedic knowledge and history. Olympic Track / Olympic Sports: Al Michales. Dwight Stone. SIDELINE REPORTERS!!: Bonnie Bernstein, Stacy Diahls and Erin Andrews (especially when she wears tight fittin sweaters).
I don't watch NASCAR, Hockey, Poker and I like extreme cage fighting, but I don't pay attention to announcers.

My favorite has to be the Sunday Night Baseball crew. You can't get much better than those two. And by those two, i mean Joe Morgan and Jon Miller. Two of the sweetest voices in sports. I could fall asleep to those guys.

Re: Favorite Sports Announcers
You guys are seriously listing Joe Morgan as one of your top announcers? Huh.
Jon Miller is pretty good though. Gary Thorne is my favorite, he has a great voice and he's not on often so its appointment TV when I see him on the list for play-by-play.
Steve Stone is another favorite of mine. Wish he hadn't had the falling out with the Cubs a few years ago for simply telling it like it is.

Re: Favorite Sports Announcers
As long as Joe Morgan doesn't talk too much about himself....then I'm cool with him.

Re: Favorite Sports Announcers
Many people might not like him, but for a color man, I love Billy Rafferty.
Jon Miller makes baseball worth watching on Sunday night.
Gary Thorne is good for Hockey, football or basketball.
Joe Buck blows, as does Madden and Bryant Gumbel.
Pete Taylor is and will always be the best.

I agree Billy Rafferty is awesome; sometimes he gets a little too "Billy Packard" for me.

. What don't you like about Joe MOrgan? I enjoy his focus on strategy - especially the Pitcher vs Batter duel. I agree his side kick on Sunday's is really good, but Morgan is usually low key, but intelligent when it comes to strategy,

Ick, Doug Flutie.
Lundquist and Raftery always make me think about the NCAA tournament.

Ron and Fran because they always give Hilton/ISU props, and they are pretty good.
Gus Johnson because his enthusiasm during march madness is priceless.

I like Gary Thorne for just about anything. He is old school too, uses the stand alone mic and keeps his own score book. Nothing beats listening to Vin Scully do a game though, it's like poetry...

I don't watch NASCAR, Hockey, Poker and I like extreme cage fighting, but I don't pay attention to announcers. In all seriousness for MMA Joe Rogan is SOLID. He knows his stuff, has good dialogue with the fighters, and his passion for the sport is apparent.
