This will make some feel old

How weird is it that Jamelle Holieway is 41 years old.

He was one of the best QB's I had ever seen in college football. His on field decision making was flawless in that wishbone option offense. He was also fast as anyone I had seen and could take a beating back there.

Seeing that he is 41 years old makes me relize how fast time is flying.

EUFAULA, Okla. -- Jamelle Holieway, the starting quarterback on Oklahoma's 1985 national championship team, was jailed Friday because of outstanding traffic warrants.
Holieway had been scheduled for a nonjury trial on a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession but was taken into custody after the trial was delayed.
Court records show that bench warrants were issued for Holieway, 41, in April on a McIntosh County speeding ticket dating to September 2006 and Haskell County tickets for speeding and driving with a suspended license from March.
Holieway had been bonded out of jail Friday evening

Even at 41, Jamelle still hasn't growed up

Well, in those days, the OU receivers started every play in a three-point stance.

(I'm terrible.)

I remember my uncle's story about the first game he ever attended at ISU. He said that at halftime, the game was entirely out of hand. So far out of hand, in fact, that Holieway was out of his pads and eating a hot dog on the sideline when the teams came out after the half. That's pretty much the 1980's era of ISU football in a nutshell...
