Fresno State would be a good add. They'd step right in and be competitive. UNLV brings a bigger media market than some of the others. BYU and Utah wouldn't be bad, either.

No way does Colorado leave the BIG XII...Utah, BYU are good options but would love to see Boise State in the PAC 10 +2

Utah or Colorado make the most sense for the pac-10.

Nothing makes me think about the pacific coast more than the flat east texas plains surrounding College Station.

The Big XII actually owns the copyright/rights (whatever it is) to the name Big XIV. I would at least hope that if a B12 team got invited to join the PAC-10, that the conference would somehow fight back.
It would be absolutely devastating to ISU for a couple of the big schools to bolt from the B12.

I'm not sure how much Texas would like that. The Southern Schools get pretty much all the major TV here. Not sure that would happen for them if they went west.

Why would any school leave the Big 12 North. It has proven to be wide open to win in football every year.

Is a big, Texas school going to opt into that? Granted, the Big XII TV deal is not that great, either, but I can't see a move as a step up.

It will be either Fresno state or UNLV

Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.
"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

It seems to me like the travel budget would be cost-prohibitive for any Texas team joining the Pac-10. Also, the two hour time difference between Texas and the west coast would be a pain. Don't see it happening...

Let's say Colorado does leave the Big 12. Who do we go after to replace them?

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'
