2012 Illinois Basketball Recruits

Interesting early look at the 2012 Illinois basketball class from MidStatesHoops...

Anthony Johnson has added an offer from Iowa State.

Johnson is a 6'2" guard in the 2010 class. Chicago Whitney Young.

Hayden Hoerdemann is seeing his recruiting progress as he has received interest from Butler, Iowa, Iowa State, and Evansville. A week ago he participated in the Illinois State Elite Camp and a few weeks back he made an unofficial visit to Illinois.

Hoerdemann is a 6'3" guard in the 2011 class. Bloomington Central Catholic.

Did I miss something... It is 2008 isn't it?

You know...there a couple 4 year olds in my neighborhood that can really shoot the rock... I mean, they use one of those 4 ft tall hoops... but I see potential there....

Quick, give them candy, some shoes, get them a puppy and name it Cy. Then coach their teams and in about 14 years you can get a D1 coaching job if they pan out.

As long as I get paid more than Dalonte Hill does...

2012 seems like a long ways out but I was surprised at the size of these 2012 babies (~14 years old)...

• 10 of them in the link were 6'3" or taller.

Pretty good weight on a number of them too...

• 6'6"- 190;
• 6'8"- 210;
• 6'8"- 225 with size 18 shoe.

Can't wait till they grow up.
