Rhett Bomar and Ryan Perriloux

I was just wondering if anybody thinks either one of them will make it to the NFL? Rhett was kicked off oklahoma for taking money from a car dealership and Ryan was kicked of for disciplinary reasons. Both showed real talent although I think Bomar has a better shot. I think Bomar went to sam houston state and ryan went to jackson state or something like that. Im not sure when either would be eligible for the nfl.

And by the way, just something random, I think Tim Tebow will be a bust in the NFL as those shotgun quarterbacks from college never seem to be able to make a good transition.

Bomar has all the tools to be an NFL QB; I think he'll have a chance. Perriloux will end up like Randle-El style if he makes it.

Perriloux is not even close to having the athletic ability as Randel-El.

Bomar is going to be a star in the NFL in my opinon. He has all the tools.

Bomar for sure. There is no doubt this guy looks like an NFL quarterback

Nobody has seen enough of Perriloux to know for sure. He played as a backup and when he was in didn't pass very often. I would say "no" b/c of his passing ability and b/c he doesn't appear to have a good head on his shoulders.

Re: Rhett Bomar and Ryan Perriloux

I really don't know much about Bomar.

However, living in Baton Rouge, I know a lot about Perrilloux. Perrilloux has tremendous athletic ability and is a legitimate dual threat QB...meaning who could be successful running a wishbone offense or running a west-coast passing attack.

The only thing that will keep Perrilloux from not making it as a QB in the NFL is his off field "issues"...basically, the kid is a bad kid from a bad background and he has grown up around a bad element. Heaven only knows what kind of trouble he might get into with a little money in his pocket (see Pacman Jones).

As for comparisons...he is more like a Steve Young, Steve McNair, or Vince Young. His HS coach coached Doug Flutie in the CFL and said that Perrilloux was a better QB in HS than Flutie was in the CFL. Another comparison might be Vick...for both on the field as well as off field activities...with Vick clearly having a little better running speed. The Randle-el comparison is not legitimate in my opinion...Randle-el was pretty one dimensional in college as a runner.

You all should remember that with very little game experience this kid came in and started the SEC Championship Game vs. Tennessee for LSU last year. He completed 20 of 30 passes for 243 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also scored on a two-point conversion run. LSU won that game 21-14 and was named the player of the game.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.
