IF tOSU somehow pulls out a win vs USC and goes on to play for the NC, I have no problem with it. If they lose to USC and slowly work their way back up by beating up on their pathetic conference and ends up playing for the NC, then I will be disappointed. I would hope that every other 11-1 team rates above them. If they are one of the best TWO teams record-wise, I won't be upset...just disappointed because the NC game will suck again.

Ohio State? Seriously? Can't stand them, I have spent quite a bit of time in Columbus, and trust me, I always root for the hawks against them. As for their team, overrated, just like their conference. The Big 10 is soft. Sorry. Let me repeat that: soft. If OSU weasels their way into another NC game to be shown up again I think I am going to puke.
On a side note: What about Clarett's accusations against the school a couple years ago? Now granted, consider the source, but still, sure looked like a lot of smoke there. But then it is OSU so nothing is going to happen to them no matter what they do.
Interesting reading for those who dislike OSU as much as I do: ESPN - Clarett claims cash, cars among benefits - College Football
I can't stand schools like OSU. They never seem to get punished for anything. As long as the money keeps rolling in, the NCAA seems cool with it. ISU has a kid play on a club team, where a couple others got extra benefits, and he got nothing? Well, he loses a year of eligibility AND must sit out. Seems kids at OSU may be getting cars, no-show jobs and academic work taken care of for them? Cool. Game on. Nothing to see here.

That small of a difference surprises me...although I don't even know what that stat means. What is the average low temp in Columbus vs. Lex? What is the average temp overall? A couple degrees less can be a big deal, because that means a chance for a lot more snow....at any rate I know I'd be alot more comfortable going from flip-flops to Lex, than Columbus.

This could be a long post - but not going to do it. The short version is that OSU does what it has to do every year to get to the NC game. The disparity is that OSU doesn't have to do what everybody else has to do to get there. So I give credit - and I hold grudges. That's the debate in a nutshell.

Average daily high temperature in November...it wouldn't seem that this should be hard to understand.
In any case, what it means is that your assertion that SEC teams would play poorly in Columbus because of "cold" weather does not appear to have factual basis, because the daytime temperatures during the coldest month in which conference FB is typically played aren't really all that cold in Columbus.

Ummm....I'm no meteorologist, but the average high temperature is not the only factor in identifying game time temperatures. Obviously the best case scenario for a saturday afternoon game is not the only scenario. It could easily have factual basis.

If tOSU's only loss is to USC and teams from the Big XII and SEC can't go undefeated (even with the conference championship) I see no way that tOSU is kept out of the NC game. I feel they will probably dominate the Big 11 this year. I'd love to complain about it, but, it's all cyclical. No way would we have turned down a shot in 2004 or 2005 even though we know the North was way down those years.

If I were a OSU fan I would be wanting to avoid the NTG since the recent run of success (I should note I am an LSU and ISU alum and fan).
OSU probably will get in y playing in the weak big 10 and then get destroyed by the SEC champion again.
It is starting to be an annual event kind of like a migration or something.
Do you OSU fans feel ike Charlie Brown after Lusy pulls the ball back?
