If Ohio State was able to legitamitely win its way back into the BCS championship game this year? Full disclosure: I am a lifelong OSU fan as well as ISU.
Its very conceivable that this could happen this year, as the SOS should be very good with the trip to USC looming on Sept. 13th....and of course Michigan coming to town. I think OSU should get lots of credit for not being afraid to travel to hostile environments...two years ago it was Washington, before that it was Texas. How many top-level SEC schools do that? Yeah, it doesn't happen often.
The rest of the schedule we'll see, very unpredictable what it will offer for matchups at least at this point. The tougher schedule makes sense to me though, since this really is the year that I expected OSU to compete again for a championship. Last year was unexpected, and even though there was a lot of talent on that team it was very young.
Alot of people hate on OSU...basically because they have been very successful, but lets face it, Tressel is going to be around for a long time and there's no telling this side of Rich Rodriguez how many Big 10/BCS championships he will compete for.
So what do you think? Lets keep the hate chatter within reason.

They're going to get destroyed by USC early enough in the year to recover...I'd be willing to bet they're in the NC again...

They won't because USC< but if they do, I'll laugh as Georgia or a Big 12 team crushes them.

I just hope they don't make it. I don't hate OSU, I'm just ready for someone else to be there.
Replace the "O" with an "I". Works. | |

I will be cheering for USC in this. I still expect that tOSU can find their way into the NC game. I work with a big Buckeye fan, and he's not looking forward to that whole discussion again.

I do give them some credit for traveling to hostile environments but not a lot. after all they play big 11 ball and their biggest hostile road environment is probably camp randall. tOSU has to schedule games like USC to compensate for a fairly weak conferance sos unlike the SEC teams IMO. that being said I don't think a national championship game is unlikely IF they can win at USC, which I see as unlikely but possible. god knows no one in the big ten poses a major threat. I'd feel bad because once again I'd be less than interested in the national championship game.
Full disclosure: If there is one team in the little 11 I dislike as much as iowa, it's tOSU. In fact, on most occassions I might even pull for the hawks in a game between the two. Plus, the fans there give me my one and only reason to ever pull for Michigan (btw comes in #3 of my most disliked teams).

Seems like there's a speed difference, or difference in general athleticism, that the SEC schools exploit over and over and over and over and over and over and over, well, that's enough.

These "if X school was in Y conference" debates get old. Fact is, no one knows. For all we know, Boise State would have dominated the Big 12 a few years ago - when they beat OU.
I'm hoping for a USC-Mizzu national title (pending ISU doesn't make it ).
