The coaches can watch the players as often as they like, at open gym's, AAU tournaments especially, etc. Now, they won't be able to attend those AAU tournaments, which will also hurt the tournaments, their sponsors, and the surrounding areas, and will have a bad economic impact, to boot.

He tried to ruin the Gators twice (once as DC and another as HC) but from people I have talked to inside the department he does everything by the book. He may be creative about the boundries of the rules but he just plain works harder at recruiting then most coaches are willing to. You have to give him some credit for that...

Florida was VERY close to the death penalty in the 80's and they do not want to take any chances.
