Committed to Football
This young man was committed to playing his Senior Season....
Tony Romo hurt his pinkie out 4 weeks, this Kid just says "Cut It Off and let me play" Adios, pinky, back to football - The Denver Post -
Re: Committed to Football
they've been talking about this ALL day on ESPN and you can say all you want about his heart and determination to play football. But when it comes down to it: it's just dumb. Too bad his coach couldn't get to him in time to change his mind. Just a stupid decision overall.

A D2 player with probably no chance at ever playing Football anymore after this year, It's his Senior Season that he has looked forward to all his career....
I heard they removed it at the 2nd knuckle, so it was not the whole pinky....?
I'm not sure how I feel about this.....? How could a Doctor do it....?

Go after a medical redshirt, maybe stop, think and listen to a coach or some outsider opinions. Call Ronnie Lott. IDK.
I hope he doesn't like golf or playing guitar, have fun trying to play that (im sure there are other things affected by that amputation as well...just can't think of them )
I am totally with ya on the doc part, how the hell could you do that?

Re: Committed to Football
I would do it, you have only so many chances in life to do what you want. It is only part of one finger.

I've seen some tattoos that are much more hideous and disfiguring than a missing pinkie and I know the person will be asking why they did such a thing 20 years removed.
Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it). -

Re: Committed to Football
Sounds like a bad episode of "The Twilight Zone."
