Oh Billy...
So, how long does he get at Kentucky? Tubby wasn't winning as many as they wanted him to - but he sure wasn't losing 'em like this.
I wonder if he's regretting that decision to leave A&M. It's still "early", but man, it's ugly too.

They got beat by a non-conference team the other day and now getting pounded by UNC on ESPN - UNC isn't even playing one of their better games.
41-25 at the half.

Re: Oh Billy...
I'm always surprised that guys get these big contracts/big jobs with so little proven experience.
Didn't he have one year at UTEP, and maybe two years at A & M before Kentucky? He's never really proven that he has this level of ability.
Happens every year when teams take the hot sweet sixteen coach. Most of them have only proven that they can catch lightning in a bottle for two games. Maybe they outcoached somebody, maybe got lucky, but they haven't really proven anything in two games.
If I were these schools, I hope that I'd be more cautious in making big, expensive hires. The success rate of these folks seems very marginal.

Re: Oh Billy...
Yeah, BG sure may not be all he's cracked up to be. Will find out soon enough.
I'm hopeful the same doesn't happen t Keno, as just noted.

Ouch, Going a bit harsh. I wasn't saying I didn't like them, just wondering. Not silly, just thought there might have been a good story behide them.

I wish Keno well but I never cared for how the whole hiring of Tom and then forcing his son on them as a caveat. Drake came out okay from it but dang...they really could have gotten hosed.

I'm hopeful the same doesn't happen t Keno, as just noted. I think Keno seems like a classy guy, and I enjoyed that undersized 1987 Pitino Providence team (some Billy Donovan dude playing there). They're a sentimental favorite, when I see them. I hope it's not him, but he fits all the classic marks.

Oh Billy? More like oh Erin Andrews! i got 2 words for you........ "sweater puppets!"
There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams -
