Hmmm, perhaps by hiring a Sexton client who needs to get out of his personal football coaching hell known as Iowa State? How else is he going to go anywhere with that 5-19 record?
So, Tuberville walks away with $5.1 million and change and the right to sign another big contract with another team, Nutt gets a nice salary bump and an extension when Ole Miss gets wind of their coach being dangled some bait, and Chiznik gets a big salary increase and a chance from jump a sinking ship into a head coaching job at a big time SEC school.

Demeans Iowa State, and I think we would have turned around had ChiziK not stabbed us in the back.

I'd like to believe that would do it, especially if he bombs at Auburn...but how would we know he wouldn't try to spin it as "I was responsible for laying the foundation there!"...sounds like something he would do.

We will turn it around...there is no doubt in my mind. We have an administration at both the Unversity and Athletic Dept levels that understand we need to be "all in" with our FB program.

Just look what happened at K-State when they hired Snyder...if it can be done there it can be done anywhere...and certainly at ISU.

Sounds more to me like they are pointing out his failure to make anything of the job rather than the job itself. It's HIS personal coaching hell, and a sinking ship because he did a crap job. He didn't have the chops.

Maybe I'm seeing what I want to, but it's seems more like a stab at Chizik in my eyes.

At any rate, that is some interesting stuff. I suppose it could fall under the "where there's smoke, there's fire" adage, but that is a pretty complicated series of moves for Sexton to have pulled off. Exceptionally ballsy if he did though.

Ummmmm yeah it does...its more or less a conspiracy theory, but it explains the theory to why they may of picked him.
