Big Ten thru 3 bowl games
Big Ten football performance through 3 bowl games:
Wins: 0
Losses: 3
Average points allowed: 38.0
Average yards allowed: 389
Putting to rest all the nonsense about how Big Ten football is low scoring because they play great defense.

Postseason participation 80%. Better. Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step. Easy now! Missouri was HEAVILY favored over Northwestern as was Kansas over Minnesota. so based on the odds I would say that things are going accordingly. Northwestern gave Missery all they wanted and misery was supposed to be playing for a BCS Championship this year. While the Big 12 is better on the top side i feel the other 8 or 9 teams are about even respectively. While I love the Clones i don't feel our chances are any better winning a Big Ten game this last year.....

My heart wants to say we'd take Indiana, but my mind says that our defense doesn't stop them, either. -
Re: Big Ten thru 3 bowl games
It is hard to play step it up defense when you normally play against subpar offenses.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

I still think the Big 10 is a quality conference.

Re: Big Ten thru 3 bowl games
I don't see Michigan State, Penn State, or Ohio State winning, so I think Iowa is the Big Ten's best chance at getting a win. It would be great if they couldn't even get one, but I doubt that will happen.

If the conferences are similar those matchups should be about even. The fact that Big 12 teams were heavy favorites and won just shows how poor the middle of the Big 10 is. Next up will be Penn State and Ohio State showing just how poor the top of the Big 10 is, as well.

They loaded up on cream puffs in the non-conference, and were never the same after the jNU game. Way to go, Kansas kicked Minnesota's ***, just like Michigan. Yay?
jNU gave Mizzou all it could handle. I can't imagine that Mizzou ever got held to 311 yards of offense at any point in the regular season. Mizzou won because the 'Cats missed an extra point, not because they dominated the game in any way.

So it's not like it's THAT far off what NW did.

My point was the jNU more than held their own against Mizzou, who, according to almost everyone on this message board was pretty much going to do whatever they wanted.
