Impressive Wake Forest mens bball 08-09

The Deacs are finally #1 in the land. After they beat the heels at home and beat one of at the time 3 undefeated teams in the nation in the form of clemson. The demon deacons show some promise now and probably in the future if their young guns decide to stay in college. The #1 ranking might make them a little overconfident, because the #1 ranking really doesnt mean anything unless they go undefeated in conference, and thats pretty hard to do in the A.C.C. According to Coach K is definately better than the always strong Big East, it might be a little hard to come out of the A.C.C alive if they really are the best conference in the nation (not true). So what do u think, undefeated?, undefeated in conference?, a #1 seed in the tourney?, or how high will they seed in the end? (my vote is a #1 seed with the dookies, even though i to say it, plus oklahoma and the other is realy up for grabs...)

Nice to see wake working themselves back to a power! Hopefully our clones can make a turn around like they have! With that said Wake is school that is alot easier to recruit at than ISU...but would love to see us make the same turn around!

Well Wakes enrollment is under 5,000 undergrads. But id rather be in N.C to recruit than Iowa, a lot more talent, but it is a hassle to always have the dookies and nc to fight for in state recruits. (and nc state but theyre not at the level of duke or n.c)

Yea...Wake pulling in the scraps the duke and nc doesnt get it still very good talent! Recruiting people to play in N.C. is way easier than iowa! With them having such low enrollment, it is very impressive to put together some of the teams they do, along with some of the players! CP3 for example!

Umm hard to tell with such a tough ACC. If i had to take a guess right now they will be no lower than a 3 seed! I can see them losing a few games here...but ya never know! The ACC is just damn good!

Unfortunately, it is sad how the BCS has ruined the ACC is a basketball conference. In adding schools (FSU, Miami, VaTech, BC), so they could have a big money football championship, they diluted their basketball quality. While some of those schools have had good seasons in basketball, it has ruined old ACC rivalries. Schools such as Duke and Maryland, now only play once a year. Only 5 years ago, they had one of the best rivalries in college bb going.
