    I think she tried coaching a few games, but then announced she was going to sit the season out.

    Yes she was...and bone cancer can take your life relatively quickly (lost a family member to it). You can feel fine one day, and be in the most miserable pain the next, and in some cases, gone within the week.

    I had the honor of meeting Coach Yow on a couple of occasions and she was an even better human being than she was a coach. God bless her family and friends as they remember her great life and amazing fight.
