A Fourth Postseason Basketball Tourney...

Unbelievable...what a joke this is becoming...it's becoming more and more clear every passing year that all the $$NCAA$$ cares about is $$...they're too busy dotting the I's and crossing the t's to get postseason tourney's like this and added bowl games, to have any time to look into actual issues...like aau coaches and recruit's parents landing jobs at University's so their kid will attend the University. Now there is the NCAA tourney, the NIT, the CBI, and the CI.com...what a sad joke the $$NCAA$$ is.

It is crazy, but this is the BB equivalent of the bowl system in FB. Eventually half of all D-1 BB teams will make one of these tournaments. Of course, the NCAA should be the goal for every program, but I don't really have a problem with these other tournaments as I assume there is a market for them.

BTW - This is the same argument that I would make with respect to a true D-1 FB playoff of 16 teams incorporating the 15 biggest bowls. The smaller bowls could still have their games and knowing how FB-crazed America is there would probably still be a market for those games.

Looks like this will be what the cbi was last year. The cbi is no more so they're 3 tournies still. I expect this one to fail like the cbi unless it gets a tv deal.

Are you sure the CBI is no more? They still have a website that says there will be a 2009 tourney.

And are we sure this new tourney actually exists? Right now there's no actual info on their website.
