UNI in the MVC Championship...

If they aren't who is? UNI has been better than us 5 of the last 6 years. They took advantage of a down MVC and will likely win the regular season and post-season tourney. They've done a great job this year.

Iowa and Iowa State both proved to be better this year. Does that go out the window when conference play starts? When one team starts playing Michigan St, Kansas, Oklahoma etc, and the other is playing Bradley, Illinois St, etc

Who do you think the best team in the state is? Lets see here, ISU sucked, Iowa sucked and Drake sucked, none of which is going to see post- season play. UNI is the only team in iowa that's going to the NCAA tournament. I would say they are the best team in the state.

Drake proved they were better than Iowa and Iowa State and still could only finish 8th in the "crappy" MVC.

I'll preface this by saying that Brackins is obviously a much better talent than Koch...

But...Brackins could learn a thing or two from watching Koch play...Koch is a big with the ability to knock down the three...but he'll rarely shoot it unless he catches off of penetration, or there is 10 seconds or less left on the shotclock, because he knows the defense will gladly give him that shot anytime during the possesion.

Good job outta you. You named 2 teams out of the many years of history in college basketball.

And those 2 teams have nothing to do with UNI

Good point. So is Drake the best team in the state?

All I am saying is how is UNI clearly the best team in the state when they lost to 2 teams that play in clearly much much better conferences?

Just b/c Robert Morris is going to the tourney doesn't mean they are better than ISU or Iowa. (example)

UNI was 8-6 Out of Conference this year!!!!!!

Most telling stat about how great a conference the MVC is when they went 14-4 in the conference

I think its farily obvious UNI has really improved as the year has moved forward. Its ok to give others credit guy. I think they are the best team in the state right now....I don't think its a slam dunk, but they are a little bit better than Iowa, who is a little bit better than us and Drake.
