Memphis next year is going to be scary.

With Xavier Henry and Demarcus Cousins, they have commitments from the best shooting guard, and center in the class of 2009. Even though they'll lose Tyreke Evans, they're going to be pretty close to unbeatable next year if Nolan Dennis can be a half-way decent PG for them. They'll be long, athletic, good at defense, and virtually unstoppable on the offensive end. Though I'm not a huge Coach Cal fan, I have to say Memphis may end up No. 1 when it's all said and done next year.

It seems like Memphis is turning to the "one-and-done" school, the stop over for kids who used to go directly to the NBA from high school and have no interest in college.

Foul them constantly and get them on the line. Put in Lee, Mann, and Thompson and all you have them do is foul, get them in the bonus. and we might have a chance!

I found it funny last year how even though Memphis struggled at the line all season long...certain experts (cough...Billy Packer) just dismissed it and said they would be fine when it mattered the most because their form is fine and it was a focus problem for them...you just don't "turn on" things like that imo, as shown in the national title game.

Aren't they still in on Wall too? That be the best PG, SG, and C. Unbelievable class.

Wall won't go to Memphis...right now it's looking like it will be Baylor.

I've heard that Memphis commits get quite a bit under the table, same as Marquette and Kentucky.

(I've also heard rumors about UCLA. For instance, Renardo Sidney was going to commit there, then something happened, and his parents told him, "you are not going to UCLA no matter what...something bad happened, and we don't want to talk about it." or something like that. That sounds really really suspicious.)
