First Round Upsets (NCAA Tourney)

Who do you guys think the 1st round upsetters are, if any?

Here's what I think:

@ Midwest: 12 Arizona over 5 Utah
@ Midwest: 10 USC over 7 BC
@ Midwest: 9 Siena over 8 Ohio St

@ West: 12 UNI over 5 Purdue
@ West: 9 A&M over 8 BYU

@ East: can't think of any

@ South: 9 Butler over 8 LSU
@ South: 12 West Kentucky over 5 Illinois

I honestly think things play to seed, excepting USC, and Butler. However I really don't consider the 8/9 game to be an "upset". I hate to say it but I think UNI gets drilled.

here the upset I have:

12 Arizona over 5 Utah
9 Siena over 8 Ohio St
9 A&M over 8 BYU

and in the econd round 3 Syracuse beating 2 Oklahoma

Something tells me this year won't be the same as last year. I think we will see some upsets, I just don't know where they will come from outside of what I posted on here.

I am looking at Sienna and NDSU games. NDSU has four fifth year seniors to play Kansas.

NDSU is going to have a HUGE home court advantage, but I don't think that'll be enough. I'll be rooting for them, though.

Sienna, NDSU, VCU and Western Kentucky is a must. I think UNI and Arizona can do it to.

West:
Texas A&M over BYU
Maryland over California

East:
None

South
Butler over LSU
W. Kentucky over Illinois

This is actually a rather "tame" year for me as far as upsets go

My upsets:

Utah State over Marquette
VCU over UCLA
WKU over Illinois

I don't count a 9 over an 8 as an upset since for the most part those games are pick'ems anyway.

15 Binghamton over 2 Duke. My cousin is the play-by-play announcer for Binghamton, so in honor of him I'm picking one of the biggest upsets in NCAA history.

8/9 are not upsets, so here is what I have beyond that:

- Zona over Utah
- Dayton over West Virginia
- USC over BC
- UNI over Purdue
- Maryland over Cal
- Michigan over Clemson
