Congress to hold hearings to examine BCS - ESPN

This is ********! Is the BCS screwed up? YES... Should politicians have ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!?! NO! I don't get it! I mean really, they have other stuff to do then DICTATE HOW COLLEGE FOOTBALL DETERMINES A NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just stupid. There is nothing illegal here like with steroids... this is SO DUMB!

They fixed the economy, now they need to fix the BCS.

With there hands on it it will be a really mess now. 118 team playoff here we come.

Love it or hate it, congress has no business getting involved in the BCS. Any reasoning they would have to do is totally contrived.

Why don't they just force the NCAA to make every D1 program that has a football program play at the same level and have all that excitement for 1A? Just imagine Yale playing USC and North Dakota State playing Florida in the playoffs!How awesome would that be?

Oh, I can see it now. The liberal mind set is "everyone is a winner", not one loses. Cannot give F's as a grade anymore. If your company fails, we will bail you out, etc...yada yada.....

So, I'm sure they'll set up a BCS system that includes all 119 teams, even those that didn't win a game because "everyone is a winner".

I love it!

Absolutely incredible. Congress does not have the time, nor the money to investigate something as meaningless as college football. Don't get me wrong...I love college football, but this is absurd.

Gov't to do list:
1.) Fix economy
2.) Win wars
3.) Fight terrorism
4.) Solve BCS problem

Anyone have any recommendations on a good country to move to?

I'm sure there will be another round of steroid hearings this summer as well. Anything to distract people from their ineptitude on matters that are important

My guess is that Congress will decide to take wins from rich...the USC, Ohio State, Florida, OU's of the world and give them the poor...the Iowa State's of the world. We just have to finish 4-8 each year, we get 2 wins from the rich, and we go bowling. Woo!
